What is the use of meter bridge experiment?

Meter bridge experiment is used to verify the laws of resistance and to calculate unknown resistances.

PRINCIPLE: It is a practical application of Wheatstone bridge.

The general name of the bridge is slide-wire bridge but is called meter bridge since the wire used in the bridge is often a meter long.
