What is Virtual and Erect Image?

The images that are formed when the light rays appear to meet at a definite point after the reflection from the mirror is known as a virtual image.

An erect image is the one that appears right-side-up. It is formed due to the actual intersection of light rays, unlike the virtual image. In this image, the directions are the same as those in the object.
