What will be the volume of 17g of NH3 at N.T.P?

N.T.P – Normal Temperature and Pressure are defined as air at 20oC (293.15 K, 68oF) and 1 atm. NTP is 20°C temperature and 1 atm pressure generally.

Molar mass of NH3 = 14 + (3 × 1)

Molar mass of NH3 = 14 + 3

Molar mass of NH3 = 17 grams

Molar mass of NH3 is 17g. So the volume of 17g of NH3 i.e 1 mole NH3 at N.T.P. will be 22.4L.

Molar mass

Relative molar mass is defined as the smallest mass unit of a compound with one-twelfth of the mass of one carbon – 12 atoms. Mathematically, the defining equation of molar mass is

Molar mass = mass/mole = g/mol
