  1. The highest point of the sun in the sky occurs in the summer month of June with respect to the northern hemisphere.
  2. That is when the earth’s axis is tilted towards the sun and the northern hemisphere experiences maximum sunshine. It is called the summer solstice and the 21st of June is the longest day of the year.
  3. However, every day, the highest point of the sun within the day is called the zenith and it is estimated to occur around noon or 12p.m.
