  2. It causes ball shedding, failure of buds to open, lint damage, and speed loss.
  3. Cotton crops are the one that is most affected by Boll worm disease.
  4. To overcome these genetically modified cotton plants were created called Bt cotton.
  5. This Bt cotton contains the gene from bacteria called Bacillus thurengenesis.
  6. This gene codes for a pesticide that kills bollworms.
