Which Gland is Known as the Master Gland?

The Pituitary gland.

Located between the hypothalamus and the pineal gland, the pituitary gland is of the size of a pea. It is linked to the brain through a thin stem of blood vessels and nerve cells projections and consists of the anterior and the posterior pituitary. This gland is referred to as the ‘master gland’ as it controls the activities of other endocrine glands and many other body functions by producing appropriate hormones inclusive of growth.
