Open in App
Solution

ATP production:

  1. The production of ATP (adenine triphosphate) takes place by the process of cellular respiration within the mitochondria of a cell.
  2. The process by which organisms combine oxygen with the molecules of food, diverting the chemical energy in these components into the life-sustaining activities and eliminating waste products, that is, water and carbon dioxide is known as cellular respiration.
  3. ATP refers to a nucleotide, which comprises three prime components, that is, the nitrogenous base adenine, ribose sugar, and a chain of three phosphate groups attached with ribose.
  4. The mineral needed during the production of ATP is phosphorus.
  5. It takes part in the energy transfer process, that is, in the creation of alcohol esters, and sugar, and during the production of ATP.
