Convex lens:
The convex lens converges beams of light that are parallel to its major axis and is relatively thick throughout the midsection and thinner at the bottom and higher margins.
The edges are curled outward, not within. It is used in front of the eye to severely bend incoming light, causing the focal point to decrease and the light to focus appropriately on the retina.
Concave mirror:
When a hollow spherical is divided into pieces and the outside surface of each cut portion is painted, it forms a mirror, with the interior surface reflecting. A concave mirror is a name given to this sort of mirror.
Light converges at quite a spot as it strikes but instead reflects back from either the concave mirror's reflector. As a result, it's also known as a converging mirror.
Therefore, the convex lens is the converging lens and the concave mirror is the converging mirror.
