Why circle is a 2D shape?

Open in App
Solution

Circle is a 2D shape.

Shapes with two dimensions, such as length and width , are known as 2D shapes.

The circle has a length 2r and breadth 2r where r is a radius of that circle which completely lie on a plane.

A circle is a closed 2D shape with no sides or edges made out of a curved line. Coins, wheels, and pizzas are all examples of the circle in real life. A circle is made up of several components such as radius, diameter, and circumference.

Hence, a circle has a 2D shape because they exist only in a xy plane.
