Twisted structure of DNA:

  1. The backbone alternates deoxyribose and phosphate strands in the DNA.
  2. It twists in response to bonding between two strands.
  3. This occurs as a result of DNA's spatial requirement.
  4. The protein histones that allow it to coil and supercoil.
  5. The AT bond has two hydrogen bonds, whereas the GC bond has three hydrogen bonds.
  6. If the nucleus unfolded uncoiled, more DNA is unable to present in the nucleus.
  7. The twisted motif gives DNA stability.
  8. Hence it is in a twisted form.
