Write a note on plumbosolvency

The ability of a solvent, notably water, to dissolve lead is known as plumbosolvency. In the public supply of water this is an undesirable property. In consumers’ premises plumbosolvent water can attack lead service lines, lead pipes and any lead in solder used to join copper.
