Solution

SONAR:

  1. The full form of SONAR is Sound Navigation and Ranging.
  2. It's a navigational technique that employs sound propagation. The principle of SONAR is sound wave reflection (echo).
  3. Active sonar transducers send a sound pulse into the water. The sound pulse bounces off an item along its path if an object is present, sending an "echo" back to the sonar transducer.
  4. The transducer measures the signal's intensity if it has signal reception capabilities.
  5. It is used to detect distant things as well as communicate with other devices, including submarine communication and submarine navigation.
  6. Passive SONAR simply listens for the sound emitted by vessels, whereas active SONAR emits sound pulses and listens for echoes.
