Solution
Lanthanoids and actinoids:
f-block transition elements are lanthanoids and actinoids.
The periodicity of these elements' electrical structures differs from the most stream, as seen by their placement in separate positions within the table.
Similarities between lanthanoids and actinoids:
Lanthanoids and actinoids both have a most common oxidation state.
The f-orbitals gradually fill in both series. In both series, the ionic radius of the whether decreases as the number increases.
For all the cases, the electronegativity in both series is low. So, they are electropositive in nature.
Differences between lanthanides and actinides:
In the case of Lanthanoide, progressive filling of 4f-orbital takes place while 5f-orbital is progressively filled in the case of actinoids.
Except for Promethium, lanthanoid elements are non-radioactive in nature, whereas all actinoid series members are radioactive.
Lanthanoids are less reactive as compared to actinoids.
The magnetic property of Lanthanoids is less complex as compared to actinoids.
