The names of two important books brought out by Linnaeus are
- Species Plantarum
This book was published in 1753, in which he has descriptions of the thousands of plant species.
- System Naturae
This book was published in 1735. He has outlined his ideas for the hierarchical classification of the natural world and listed about 6,000 different species of plants and 4,236 species of animals.
