In Tamil Nadu and Puducherry SSLC Exams Postponed Amidst Coronavirus Outbreak

On Saturday, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K. Palaniswami announced the postponement of SSLC Class 10 board exams to April 15 in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. The Chief Minister announced it in the State Assembly, stating that the Tamil Nadu SSLC Class 10 exams are postponed as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of Coronavirus. Tamil Nadu Board SSLC exam was scheduled to begin on March 27th and continue till April 13th, 2020.

The Board of Examinations, Tamil Nadu conducts the 10th Standard exams for Puducherry and a total of about 9.45 lakh students would appear for the tenth Standard exams in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

The following TN SSLC (Class 10 public) board exam 2020 papers are postponed officially:

  • March 27th- Language
  • March 28th- Optional Language
  • March 31st- English
  • April 3rd- Social Science
  • April 7th- Science
  • April 13th- Mathematics

The Chief Minister also stated that examinations for Tamil Nadu Class 11 (Plus One) and Tamil Nadu Class 12 (Plus Two) classes are not being postponed as those are underway. Plus One and Plus Two board exams will be conducted as scheduled.
