School Education Minister of Tamil Nadu, K.A. Sengottaiyan announced that the Class 10 Exams will be commencing from 1 June 2020. The TN Board SSLC exams that were to have been conducted on 27 March had been postponed due to the lockdown resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic.
The exams are expected to be conducted from 1 June to 12 June, opening with the language paper first.
As for the TN Board Class 12 (Plus Two) exams that had concluded in the state, concerns had risen about 36,842 students not being able to write their last paper on 24 March 24, due to the restrictions being enforced then. Now, the State Government announced that this one exam will be conducted again for them. “This exam will now be held on June 4,” added Minister Sengottaiyan.
Now, answer scripts of Plus 2 exams are expected to be evaluated soon, with the commencing date due on 27 May 2020. Schedule for this is expected to be officially out soon. Steps are underway to carry out social distancing during the exams.
Meanwhile, the final board exams of Class 11 or Plus one that had been postponed from 26 March is expected to be conducted on 2 June 2020.
