UP Board 2020 Class 10 and 12 Exams Rescheduled for Some Districts of the State

UP Board had earlier cancelled the examinations that were expected to be conducted for the Class 10 and 12 students. The exams that were cancelled were for the centres in Mau, Ghazipur, Ballia, Prayagraj and Aligarh, scheduled to be conducted on February 20, 26 and 29.

As per media reports, these exams are now expected to be held on 12 March 2020. However, while in the earlier schedule the UP Board Class 10 and 12 exams were expected to be conducted in the evening session, the rescheduled exam will be held in the morning session from 8 am onwards.

The reports stated that the exams that were cancelled for UP Board Class 12 include Physics that was expected to be held on 20 February 2020 and English that was to be conducted on 26 February 2020. At the same time, the exam cancelled for Class 10 students was the Science subject that was supposed to be conducted on 29 February 2020.

Recent media reports, in the meanwhile, claim that Board Secretary Nina Srivastava has issued an order stating that 67 exam centres from the centre numbers 06869 to 06935 will hold the re-examinations on 12 March 2020 from 8 am to 11: 15 am, at the new centre in the Government Inter College.

There are also reports doing the rounds that the Class 12 Physics examination that was to be held at 12 noon on 20 February 2020 went viral on social media, which resulted in two teachers being arrested on the intervention of Mau’s DM Gyan Prakash Tripathi.

As they feared collective duplication, they went on to cancel the exams scheduled at two centres in Prayagraj and one in Ghazipur, Ballia and Aligarh.
