Steps to follow regarding the Online Exam process:-

  • The candidate needs to login with the credentials provided to them by the IBPS.

  • There is a time limit of 120 minutes and a total of 200 questions needs to be answered in this interval of time. There are 5 choices given for each question. Click on the Save & Next button, once you have selected an option from the list of 5 options given for that question. In order to reset a question that has already been answered click on the Clear Response button. In case the candidate wants to review the answer later then the Make for Review & Next button is to be clicked.

Note for Mark for Review & Next: If it is selected and whether there are changes in the answer or not the answer that will be accepted is the existing one.

  • The candidate is needed to browse or answer the questions that are left by using the numbered list given on the right-hand side as given in the picture. On clicking a question the IBPS online exam engine takes some time to load the contents. There are 4 colors that are already allotted for the identification of the status of the questions.

Green- They are the questions that are already been answered.

Red- These questions were visited but not attempted.

White- These questions were neither visited nor answered.

Violet- These include the questions that are put under “Mark for Review” option.

  • The candidates are advised not to click on any button on the keyboard or else it may lock the exam.
  • The candidates are required to submit their exams only after the 120 minutes are completed. The rough papers provided to them must be handed over to the invigilators.

Tip: As it is a complicated system, it is better if all the questions are not browsed from the beginning. The candidate should start the exam from the very first question, cover all the familiar questions, skip and mark the unfamiliar ones in order to avoid negative marking. In order to solve the difficult question, the review button is helpful in this case
