One of the most prestigious and well-known aptitude entrance exams in India for top private engineering institutes is the Birla Institute of Technology and Science Aptitude Test (BITSAT). In addition to IIT-JEE, BITSAT is a highly coveted test in India for engineering students. As defined by Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956, the Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani (abbreviated BITS Pilani or BITS) is a private institution of higher learning. The institution is one of the six “Institutes of Eminence” in India that the Indian government recognised in 2018. It includes 15 academic departments and is spread over 4 campuses. Its primary areas of interest are its management programme and higher education in the sciences and engineering.

BITSAT Exam Paper Pattern

Key Information of the BITSAT Exam Paper Pattern

• The five sections of the BITSAT are worth a combined 150 marks.
• The BITSAT exam is taken online.
• A person is free to linger for as long as they like in any given portion. Attending a particular portion is not subject to a time constraint.
• The BITSAT exam has a negative grading system. Students receive three extra points for each attempt that is correct. On the other side, -1 is subtracted for each incorrect answer.
• Every question will be of the objective variety, or MCQ. There are no theoretical questions present.
• Since the questions are drawn at random from a sizable question bank for each article, no two question papers are alike.
• A candidate is offered the opportunity to complete 12 more subjects if he or she can answer all 150 questions in the allotted three hours ( 4 questions each from Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics). A higher percentile is more likely with this group.
• In BITSAT, there are two time slots.
