Board Exams to Resume in Northeast Delhi; Affected Students Can Still Get Postponement: CBSE

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is set to resume the board exams in Northeast part of Delhi from 2nd March 2020. Due to unavoidable circumstance, the board has postponed the Class 10 and 12 exams in North-Eastern part of Delhi, which was scheduled to be conducted on 26th, 27th, 28th and 29th February 2020. CBSE Class 10th & 12th Board Examinations in Delhi to be Resumed from 2nd March 2020

As per the notification released by the CBSE on the official website cbse.nic.in on 1st March 2020, the board has mentioned that “The incidents that have unfolded in the last few days have affected some of our students. CBSE is concerned about and is sensitive to the needs of both categories of students – those who can appear in the examinations as per schedule from tomorrow onwards, and also those who may face some difficulty in appearing in the examinations due to difficult circumstances. Keeping all these circumstances in mind, the board has decided as follows:

  • CBSE will hold the examinations of both Class 10 and 12 in the District North East of Delhi from 02.03.2020, as per schedule given in the date sheet.
  • CBSE is prepared to hold examinations at a later date for candidates who are facing difficulties in appearing for the exam and would not be able to appear for the examinations upto 07.3.2020. School Principals have been requested to provide the list of such students to the Board, who are not able to appear for the exams to be conducted upto 7th March 2020. The Directorate of Education, Delhi has also been requested by CBSE to provide a list of such candidates who would not be able to appear in the examinations upto the said date. 

Hence, the board exams for Class 12 and 10 would be conducted a per the schedule mentioned in the CBSE Date Sheet 2020. CBSE will provide support to the candidates who are able to appear for the examinations from tomorrow onwards (2nd March 2020). The board is committed to take care of the interests of all its students. This will also help in conducting the board exam smoothly and safely.
