The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) would be accepting re-evaluation requests of Class X and XII answer sheets from today till July 7th.
For re-evaluation, the board would permit 10 papers of class XII only in addition to the elective English papers of NCERT. The Class XII students should have requested for the answer sheet photocopies for being eligible for re-evaluation.
As per the CBSE notification, up to 10 questions from the theory part from 12 subjects would be processed with Rs. 100/- per question as the cost of re-evaluation.
Earlier the board had decided to begin the re-evaluation of Class XII answer sheets after being questioned by the Delhi High Court on the former scrapping the re-evaluation policy.
The board’s decision to do away with the re-evaluation policy was challenged by some students in the Delhi HC as the latter accepted the petition from them.
The board had informed the students that they could point out the discrepancies in evaluation or totaling to the board’s attention to refer the same and take necessary action on it.
