Results 2017 - CBSE Ugc Net

CBSE has declared results of the January 2017 National Eligibility Test (NET) held on behalf of the University Grants Commission (UGC) on the board’s official website.

How to check exam results:

Aspirants who wish to check their test results should visit the board’s official website and click the link titled ‘ CBSE UGC NET Examination January 2017 ‘. Once the details are entered and submitted, the results would be displayed on the screen.  For future use, candidates are advised to take a printout of the same.

CBSE’s Role:

For this exam, the board would be conducting the same and declaring the result.

E- Certificate Issue:

The UGC-NET Bureau would be in charge of issuing e-certificates to the successful candidates. Thus the contact person for them would be the Head of UGC NET Bureau, University of Delhi, South Campus, Benito Juarez Marg, New Delhi. The exam held on January 22 had objective type questions with papers of three rounds.  Right from the first to the last round, the level of difficulty increased as each had different standards. Also, the UGC NET exam 2017 for Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor is expected to be conducted on November 19.

About UGC NET:

UGC (University Grants Commission) is an entity set up by the central government in the year 1956. The main objective was to grant approval to the universities across the country and allocate funds to same approved universities and colleges.

On behalf of UGC, the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) conducts the exam for the lecturer post and to grant the JRF for the citizens of the country which would ensure minimum standards for the new joiners in the domain of research and tutorship.

The main streams for which the exam would be conducted include Social Sciences, Commerce, Humanities, and Arts.
