Karnataka PUC II Chemistry Exam Cancelled for the Third Time- 1.74 lakh Students Affected

Karnataka Pre-University College (PUC) gaffes are just more than enough to blow everybody’s mind. PUC II Chemistry exam held on 21st of March, 2016 and was called off as the questions papers were alleged to be leaked before the exam. The exam was re-scheduled to be held on 29th of March. Same drama repeated as the question papers were leaked for the second time and State Government declared to re-conduct the exam on Thursday, 31st of March

Before the re-examination to be held, it was found that hand-written question papers were being circulated at some of the exam centers like Women’s College at Ballari and a state-run college at Malur in Kolar district. The administration had to cancel the exam again (for the third time). DPUE Senior Officials in these two test centers have been suspended.

PUC II candidates and parents had staged a protest outside the Department of Pre-University Education (DPUE). The protesters are demanding the resignation of the Education Minister K Ratnakar. Some political parties have also joined the protests. Some of the angry students’ reaction to this whole turmoil were –

“They once again want us to write the examination. Earlier, they assured us that the papers will not get leaked again.”

“Why can’t they protect a single question paper? What is the chance that even the third question paper won’t leak? We want the board to correct the first question paper and mark the students on that. We are not going to appear for any more re-examination.”

Students are protesting and demanding justice. They are alleging that delinquency of Education Ministry is ruining their future.

This whole turmoil has also disrupted the minds of the students as they are to sit for the competitive exams like JEE, which is to be conducted on 3rd of April.
