CGBSE Students of Classes 1 to 9 and 11 Promoted to the Next Class without any Exams

Rupesh Bhagel, Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh has issued an order to the Director of Public Education, stating that the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) students of classes 1 to 9 and 11 should be granted general promotion in the academic session 2019-2020.

In this state, in a bid to control the outbreak of coronavirus, most of the state government schools had closed down from 19 March 2020 and the exams for Secondary and Higher Secondary classes had been deferred. The state also went into a lockdown from 20 March, followed by the nationwide lockdown issued by the Central Government from 24 March 2020 to 14 April 2020.

Since the schools are closed for a long period of time, it was not possible to conduct the exams for CGBSE Class 1 to 9 and CGBSE Class 11, in the near future. Hence, the decision was taken to give general promotion to the students of this class.

In the meantime, students can access the resources and study materials such as CGBSE Syllabus, blueprints, textbooks and so on from BYJU’S.
