What is the Full form of BA?

The full form of BA is Bachelor of Arts. BA is a 3-year undergraduate course, and is regarded as one of India’s most attended courses, accounting for over nine million students. The national testing agency (NTA) introduced Common University Entrance Test, CUET (UG) in 2022 for admission into all UG programmes in all central Universities, including BA.

One may pursue BA distance education from universities like TNOU, IGNOU, KSOU, etc. Course duration is three years, with the maximum period being six years. BA subjects typically cover English, Geography, Mathematics, Economics, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy, History, Social Work & Home Science.

Eligibility criteria

  • The candidates who have passed the class 12th or equivalent examination or are appearing are eligible to take the CUET UG test in the desired combination of subjects.
