The full form of OPD is the Outpatient Department. An OPD is structured as the primary point of communication between the patient and the medical professionals in a medical department.
An OPD is generally located on the ground floor of each hospital and split into several sections, such as the Department of Neurology, the Department of Gynaecology, the Department of Orthopaedics, the Department of Oncology, the Department of General Medicine and so on. A patient who arrives at the hospital for consultation goes to the specific section of OPD according to their complaints.

Inpatient
