Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is the gateway to admission to postgraduate programs in reputed institutes like IITs, IISc, and NIT. On the other hand, the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is the gateway to graduation.
The purposes of both the examinations are different. However, newbie candidates often get confused over one question: Is the GATE and JEE syllabus same? Usually, the JEE exam is based on the syllabus of Class 11 and 12, and students from the Science and Maths branches can appear for this. Whereas, in the case of the GATE Exam, it is conducted to analyse the core knowledge of the students who want to enter the PG programs. That means, the syllabus is not the same for both the exams.
