No, candidates are not allowed to take their mobile phone into the examination hall. Students need to remember that along with mobile phones, they cannot take any physical calculator, wristwatch, headphones or earphones, and any kind of paper except the required documents.
During the GATE exam, if a candidate takes any of these items, he/she has to keep it outside, at their own risk. The exam committee will not be responsible for any of the losses.
