GATE(Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) is a national level entrance exam administered by the exam committee and seven other IITs on a rotational basis for all the students wanting to pursue PG programs from reputed institutes like the IITs, NITs, and more or wishing to obtain job opportunities in the PSU sectors and MNCs. Now the question pop-up here is: Is GATE compulsory?
And the answer is No! AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) has officially cleared that GATE is not compulsory for all the B.Tech students yet. They might change their decision in the future, but if we talk about 2021-2022, it is clear from their side that this exam is totally optional for students.
