Do’s and Don’ts in the CDS Exam
- Arrive at the examination centre on time and bring all your essential documents to the exam hall for verification. Bring your photo ID, ballpoint pen, and hard copy of the hall ticket to the examination.
- Keep all your belongings ready the night before the exam to avoid last-minute hustle and confusion.
- Try solving those answers first that you are confident about. Keep the difficult ones to the end if time permits, and try solving those by ensuring that you mark all correct answers.
- Be mindful of the negative marking system in the exam and mark your responses accordingly. A minor mistake might lead to a loss of â…“ mark for each question in the exam.
- Make a plan and attempt just the questions that will help you achieve your cutoff. Candidates typically try to increase the number of attempts by selecting answers with guesswоrk, and negative marking makes it harder to reach the cutoff, particularly in sections such as General Knowledge.
