Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) conducts examinations for the posts of Gujarat Administrative Service, Class-1, Gujarat Civil Services, Class-1 & Class-2 & Gujarat Municipal Chief Officer Service, Class-2. The question papers and provisional answer keys for the preliminary examination, 2021 were released on December 26, 2021. The GPSC main written examination, 2021 is expected to be conducted soon. The question papers of the main examination will be updated here as soon as it is published by the GPSC. Exam Pattern of GPSC Class 1 and Class 2 Examination 2021-2022

GPSC examination  for the post of Gujarat Administrative Service, Class-I, Gujarat Civil Services, Class-I and Class-II and Gujarat Municipal Chief Officer Service, Class-II  is conducted in 2 successive phases namely:

1. Phase 1- Preliminary Examination
2. Phase 2- Main (Written) Examination and Personality Test/Interview

GPSC Preliminary Examination Pattern 2021-2022

The GPSC preliminary examination is of objective type comprising multiple choice questions. The medium of examination is English and Gujarati. The GPSC preliminary examination contains two papers: i.e. General Studies 1 and General Studies 2. General Studies 1 focuses on the following subjects:

• History
• Cultural Heritage
• Constitution, Polity, Social Justice and International Relations
• General Mental Ability

General Studies 2 focuses on the following topics:

• Indian Economy and Planning
• Geography
• Science and Technology 
• Current Events of Regional, National and International Importance

GPSC Main Examination Pattern 2021-2022

The main examination is descriptive in nature. The medium of examination is English and Gujarati. However, Gujarati and English Papers in Main Examination will be in respective language only.  More information regarding the total marks, duration of the examination etc are given in the table below.

GPSC Interview/Personality Test 2021-2022

The personality test carries 100 marks. Candidates who qualify in the Main examination  are shortlisted for the personality test.

How to download the preliminary exam question paper?

You can follow the steps given below to download the question papers of the preliminary examination, 2021.

1. Visit the official website of GPSC i.e. gpsc.gujarat.gov.in
2. Click on the ‘Answer Key with Question Paper’ tab. 
3. A new page will open. Then, select ‘Gujarat Administrative Service, Class-1, Gujarat Civil Services, Class-1 & Class-2 & Gujarat Municipal Chief Officer Service, Class-2’ among the various options available on the page.
4. Click on the ‘Provisional Key (Prelim)’ under the provisional answer key with the question paper section. A new tab comprising the PDF of the provisional answer key will open. This PDF also contains the question paper of the preliminary examination.

How to download the main written exam question paper?

All the question papers related to the main written exam can be downloaded from the official website of GPSC. Steps to download the main exam question papers are given below.

• Visit the official website of GPSC i.e. gpsc.gujarat.gov.in
• Click on the ‘Advertisements’ tab. A new page will appear on the screen. 
• Click on the required year first and then select the ‘Exam’ tab. Search for ‘Gujarat Administrative Service, Class-1, Gujarat Civil Services, Class-1 & Class-2 & Gujarat Municipal Chief Officer Service, Class-2’ among the various options.
• Click on the ‘Advertisement Number’ link next to the heading ‘Gujarat Administrative Service, Class-1, Gujarat Civil Services, Class-1 & Class-2 & Gujarat Municipal Chief Officer Service, Class-2. A new tab comprising the provisional and final answer key for preliminary exam, question paper for main examination will appear. 
• Click on ‘Question Paper (Main)’ link. A new tab comprising all the question papers on the main written examination will be available in a single PDF. You can download the PDF for future reference.
