Along with destroying the Ozone layer, chlorofluorocarbons trap heat in the lower levels of the atmosphere. This leads to the heating of the earth and causes changes in the weather pattern.
Regardless of this factor, it has been generally agreed by environmental groups that CFCs contribution to global warming has been relatively small.
