The periodic modification of Earth’s climate brought about due to the changes in the atmosphere as well as the interactions between the atmosphere and various other geological, chemical, biological and geographical factors within the Earth’s system is called Climate change.
The IPCC Report on climate 2020 had mentioned India as the third-largest carbon-emitting country after China and the US. Extreme weather displacements have been observed in India, and over the past 10 decades, 20 million people every year have been forced from their homes by weather-related disasters, according to the international charity, Oxfam. India is one of the 17 countries where water stress is extremely high, according to a 2019 global report by the World Resources Institute.
