Sir syed Ahmed Khan felt that the Indian National Congress did not work towards the uplifment of the Indian Muslim community. One example was when the Congress demanded political representation according to the population.
This meant that the Hindu majority would be in power and Sir Syed felt that the wider interests of the Muslims, especially in terms of education, would be neglected. Thus he opposed the Indian National Congress.
