The Ganges river dolphin became blind as a result of evolution. This evolution came about as a result of having to navigate through muddy river waters.
Ganges river dolphins navigate using sound waves made by clicking sounds through their throats that bounce off targets and return to their large, flat heads that have exceptionally auditory sensors.
