ICSE Signs an MOU with IIT Delhi

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (ISCE) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with I-Hub Foundation for Cobotics (IHFC), the Technology Innovation Hub (TIH) of IIT Delhi, which is basically a contract that will lead the foundation for the upcoming curriculum, which will include robotics, artificial intelligence(AI), machine learning (ML) and data science.

Two new subjects Robotics and Artificial Intelligence (AI), will be affiliated by ICSE, class 10 and ISC class 12. The first board exams for both the subjects will be held in the year 2025, according to Gerry Arathoon, the council’s chief executive and secretary.

This is the first time that a curriculum like this has been introduced in the Indian Education system.

The purpose of this is to bring new age technology into the curriculum for students, at a school level.
