IRDA Exam Eligibility Criteria 2023

The eligibility criteria to apply for the IRDA exam varies with each post. For the post of Assistant Manager work experience is not essential. However, IRDAI has laid down a detailed list of essential work experience and qualifications for the posts of Manager, Assistant and Deputy General Manager and General Manager. The eligibility criteria including the age limit, age relaxation, educational qualification etc is given in detail here. 

The IRDAI Assistant Manager Recruitment 2023 has a total of 45 vacancies. Candidates can now apply between April 11 and May 10, 2023. IRDA Exam Eligibility Criteria for the Post of Assistant Manager 2023

As per the IRDAI notification released in 2017, candidates have to fulfil the following eligibility criteria in terms of age, educational qualification etc as given in the tables below.

IRDA Exam Age Limit for the Post of Assistant Manager

IRDAI notified that the lower age limit of candidates applying for the post of Assistant Manager is 21 years and the upper age limit is 30 years (as on September 5, 2017).

Employees of IRDA To the extent of a number of years of such service in IRDAI, subject to a maximum of three years.

IRDA Exam Educational Qualification  for the Post of Assistant Manager

Educational qualifications for different specialisations vary. A candidate must ensure that he/she fulfils the required criteria with regard to a specific specialisation before applying for it. 3 Legal Candidate should have:

  • A graduation from a recognized University with minimum 60% marks
  •  LL.B with 60% marks
4 General Candidate should have a graduation from a recognized University with minimum 60% marks

 Note:

Relaxation in educational standards to the extent of 5% marks is allowed at Graduation level (Bachelor’s Degree) for candidates who belong to SC/ST categories.
