As per the guidance of the Union Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2017 would be held on April 2nd, 2017 by the apex body of JEE to give candidates admission to the Undergraduate Engineering Programmes in various colleges like IIT, NIT and technical institutes under the purview of the central government. Unlike the previous years, it is mandatory for the candidates to possess the Aadhar card for the exam.
The notification published on November 10, 2016, the candidates who presumably are citizens of our country should possess the card issued by the UIDAI containing the proper details. While filling the application form for JEE (Main) 2017, the candidate’s details entered in the form from the Aadhar details would be cross-checked with the UIDAI’s data.
If the candidate’s data turns invalid, the candidate would not be able to fill the application form for the exam. Hence the candidates are requested to make sure that there are no discrepancies or mismatches between the Aadhar details and particulars in the school records.
The candidates who aspire to appear for the exam should apply via the JEE website. The application process would begin from the 1st of December this year, and the last date would be the 2nd of January 2017 with payment of fees accepted until 3rd January.
