JEE Mains Offline Exam 2018 to be conducted by CBSE on 8th April

The conducting authority of JEE Mains (Central Board of Secondary Education)  has announced the dates for conducting JEE Mains offline mode of examination. As per the reports, the pen & paper test will be conducted on 8th of April 2018 in 104 cities across India and 9 foreign cities for facilitating admissions into 24,323 seats in 31 NITs (National Institute of Technology), 23 IIITs (Indian Institute of Information Technology) and 20 GFTIs (Government Funded Technical Institutes) in India. However, the dates for the JEE Mains Online test (computer-based test) is yet to be decided but is expected to be scheduled in the mid of April 2018.

Examination Mode

The paper-1 of JEE Mains 2018 for admissions into B.E and B.Tech courses will be conducted in both offline and online mode of Examination. Whereas, Paper-2 for B.Arch or B.Plan courses will be conducted only in the offline mode of examination. It is also expected that the notification for online registration of JEE Mains 2018 is expected to be released in the last week of November and will last till the end of January 2018.

Paper-1 of JEE mains has multiple choice questions from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and are to be answered within a duration of 3 hours. Around 1.32 million students appeared for JEE Mains 2017.

Eligibility

The students who have passed or appearing for their class 12th boards examinations are eligible to apply for JEE Mains 2018.
