Manipal University Online Entrance Test (MU OET) commenced from 11th April, for admission towards various courses such as Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech), B.Pharm/Pharm.D and lateral entry to B.Tech programmes for the academic session 2016.
The MU OET will be held till May 18, 2016. The MU OET 2016 is a national level exam for admissions to undergraduate engineering courses for the following three institutes affiliated to Manipal University –
- Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal
- Manipal University Jaipur and
- Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology.
Nearly, 50,000 aspirant candidates are expected to appear for MU OET 2016 for 1st and 2nd attempt.
Examination Pattern
The examination duration will be of 2 hours and 30 minutes. There will be a total of 200 multiple choice questions, which will be distributed as follows: Physics – 50 questions, Chemistry – 50 questions, Mathematics – 70 questions and while, rest 30 questions will be on English & General Aptitude.

MU OET 2016 Hall Ticket
As proof of the candidate’s identity and other details, candidates need to download e-Hall ticket or admit card to appear for the exam. In case of any trouble while downloading the admit card, applicants must contact Manipal University officials at http://manipal.edu/mu/admission.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates should have passed Class 12, A Level, IB, American Grade 12 or any equivalent with Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects and Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or any technical vocational subjects as optional.
A minimum of 50 percent marks should be taken together in Physics, Mathematics including any one of the optional subjects. Some of the streams of Engineering, towards which the admissions are going to take place is – Aeronautical, Automobile, Biomedical, Biotechnology, Chemical, Civil, Computer and Communication, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics & Communication, Electrical and Electronics, Instrumentation & Control, Industrial & Production, Information Technology, Mechanical Mechatronics and Printing & Media Technology.
