Reflection of light is the phenomenon in which the light rays strike the surface and bounce back. The incident ray is the light ray that falls on the surface, and the reflected ray is the light that bounces off the surface. The laws of reflection are used for determining the reflection of incident rays on the reflecting surfaces.

According to the laws of reflection, the incident ray, the normal and the reflected ray are all in the same plane. Also, the angle of incidence is equal to the angle of reflection. Regular reflection, which is also known as specular reflection, disused reflection and multiple reflections, are the three types of reflection. Plane mirrors and spherical mirrors are used to explain the reflection of light.
