The human eye can be considered an optical instrument that enables us to see. It consists of the cornea, which is a transparent structure that helps in focusing on the incoming light.

The colour portion of the eye is because of the presence of the iris. The pupil is a colourless and transparent structure. The human eye has a biconvex lens which is adjustable and helps the cornea in focusing. The images that are received by the lens are formed on the retina.
