There are two types of objects: charged and uncharged objects. An object having an electric charge on it is called an uncharged object. On the other hand, the object having an electric charge is called a charged object; an example is a glass rod rubbed with a silk cloth. Glass rod, which is electrically neutral, acquires an electric charge on rubbing with a silk cloth.
