Solution:

1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 1 × 10 = 10

Therefore, the number will be 10.

Example 3:

In a class of 50 students, each student is given 1 chocolate. How many chocolates were distributed in total?

Solution:

Total number of students in class = 50

Each student is given one chocolate.

Total number of chocolates distributed = 1 × 50 = 50
