AIIMS MBBS Exam Pattern 2019 – Marking Scheme
From what we saw in AIIMS MBBS Exam Pattern 2018, each question had four multiple-choice answers where candidates had to choose the right answer. In 2019, we are expecting to see the same marking scheme and a candidate can use it as a reference.
- Every right answer will be awarded 1 mark.
- Incorrect response will result in negative marking of 1⁄3 (minus-one-third) marks.
- No marks are given if the question is left unmarked or not answered.
Other Details
Talking about the syllabus of AIIMS, it is not actually set by the institution itself. However, what happens is that the syllabus is mainly based on class 12 science scheme. Therefore, candidates should be thorough with the 12th class syllabus. NCERT and some other reference books can be helpful.
There are some cut-offs for different categories of candidates, for example, the general category gets 50 per cent while SC/ST get 40 per cent off.
Apart from all these, there are few things that candidates need to remember for the exam day.
- Always carry your admit card.
- You should report to the exam center in advance, much ahead of the allocated time.
- You should not carry items like pen/pencil, gadgets, any study material, amongst others in the examination center.
- Any change in mobile number, email ID or address should be immediately reported to the Assistant Controller (Examinations), AIIMS in New Delhi.
