CBSE issues applications for Aryabhaṭa Ganit Competition; Registration portal to close 15 Nov

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the application forms for its mathematics competition, Aryabhaṭa Ganit Challenge. Candidates who are currently studying in class 8, 9 and 10 are eligible to appear for this competition.

CBSE 2022: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has started inviting applications for ‘Āryabhaṭa Ganit Challenge’ 2022. Students studying in CBSE affiliated schools and are currently enrolled in classes 8, 9 and 10 are eligible to appear for the mathematics competition.

As per the guidelines released, the test will be conducted at two stages. The first stage of the test will be conducted at school level which will be a pen and paper based test. The second stage will be conducted at national level which will be a computer based test.

Interested candidates have time till 5:30 pm on November 15, 2022. The application forms are available at the official cbse website, www.cbse.nic.in and www.cbseacademic.nic.in. No application fees will be charged during the first stage of the competition.

The top three scorers from each school will be eligible to appear for the national level examination for which they will have to pay Rs 900. As per the information mentioned on the official website, the candidates will be assessed on their ability to apply the following concepts in their daily lives:

  • Number Systems & Number Sense
  • Measurement, Geometry & Spatial Sense
  • Data Analysis & Probability
  • Algebra, Analytical
  • Creative and Abstract Thinking
  • Strategic thinking
  • Mathematisation
  • Bhartiya Ganit

The test conducted at school level as well national level will be conducted for a duration of 60 minutes. The questions asked will be objective in nature. The question paper will consist of 40 marks and there will be no negative marking.
