CLAT 2023: As per the latest notification released by the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs ), the deadline to apply for Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2023, has been extended till November 18, 2022. Interested candidates can visit the official website, consortiumofnlus.ac.in, to apply.
As per the information received, the examination has been scheduled to be conducted on December 18, 2022, in offline mode. According to the guidelines released, candidates who have cleared class 12 examination or are going to appear for 2023 board examination are eligible to appear for UG-CLAT 2022.
Students who have secured a degree in LLB or are in the final year of the LLB programme are also permitted to apply for CLAT LLM. It is for the first time that the consortium has scheduled two tests in 2022. The first session has already been conducted in the month of May.
According to the information imparted, the consortium has also decreased the counselling fee from Rs 50,000 to Rs 30,000, for the candidates who belong to unreserved category. Candidates who belong to the reserved section will have to pay counselling fees of Rs 20,000.

How to register for CLAT 2023?
- In order to apply, candidates need to go to the official website,
- consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
- Then on the homepage, click on the link that reads “click here.”
- A new page will page.
- On the bottom of the log-in window, find the button that reads “Register”, and click on it.
- Then provide the required details to complete the registration form.
- Upload the documents and then click on submit.
Looking at the marking scheme for the entrance examination, there will be a total of 120 questions in the Postgraduate exam and 150 questions for the examination which will be conducted for undergraduate examination. Both the question papers consist of 5 sections, which are:
- Quantitative techniques
- English
- Current affairs and general knowledge,
- Legal reasoning
- Logical reasoning
Candidates will be awarded one mark for every correct answer, while 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer. Applicants are advised to read all the instructions before applying. For more details visit the official website.
