EVS or Environmental Studies is a subject usually taught in primary school. It teaches children about the natural world and how we depend on it. The intention is to start young and get them interested in the environment and how we can preserve it for future generations. Generally, environmental studies focuses on three main areas: Interactions, Community and Systems.
1. Interactions: This area focuses on understanding how different living things interact with each other and their environment.
2. Community: This area focuses on understanding the importance of communities in caring for natural resources, such as water, forest, birds, etc.
3. Systems: This area focuses on understanding the complex interactions between land, water, atmosphere and energy systems that make up our earth’s natural systems. These interactions affect the environment, society and the economy.
