INMO Exam Registration

The INMO (Indian National Mathematical Olympiad) is a maths event organized in India. It is an annual maths competition in India for high school students. The Indian National Mathematical Olympiad (INMO) is a phase of the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO). The INMO exam is conducted at the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education.

Qualified participants in the Indian National Mathematics Olympiad are invited to attend a training camp supported by the National Board of Higher Mathematics (NBHM) at the Homi Bhabha Center for Science Education (HBCSE). In general, 900 people apply for this exam. However, only 35 are chosen from the INMO Examination stage. The INMO Registration process for the 2022 exam is outlined below.

Registration Process of INMO Examination

The INMO exam lasts four hours and includes six tough questions. All of these questions must be answered on the response sheet, which must be given to the examiners with the rough sheets at the end of the exam. The problems on the INMO exam are exceedingly challenging, and the level of difficulty rises with each step of the Math Olympiad program.

  • Approximately 900 people were chosen for the INMO test based on criteria. Candidates should be aware that there is no unique application process for INMO. Students who pass the early phase and have IOQM and INMO merit awards from the previous year are given direct admission.
  • A student who is serious about taking the INMO test and applying must first compete in the Regional Mathematics Olympiad 2021-22 (RMO), and place among the top 30 scorers in their country.
  • The CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education), NVS (Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti), and KVS (Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan) coordinate the Regional Mathematics Olympiad in 25 locations around the world.
