The National Engineering Olympiad (NEO) is a test for engineering students conducted at the national level. Every field of engineering is included in the NEO. The Olympiad is a fantastic opportunity for students to evaluate themselves against other engineering students and get a valuable learning experience. Olympiad exams are conducted mainly for students who want to improve their learning ability and motivate them to succeed in their careers.

Every engineering student has a great opportunity to present their skills and expertise on a national stage at the National Engineering Olympiad. The NEO is open to all students enrolled in engineering programmes in India. Every rank recipient is also given an internship through NEO Olympiad. We will discuss the details of the NEO 2022 exam in this article.

Registration for the National Engineering Olympiad 6.0
All qualified students can apply for the NEO now that NEO Foundation has released NEO 6.0 on its official website. Every aspect of the National Engineering Olympiad is done online. All interested participants must sign up on the NEO’s official website.
Below are the steps for registering for the NEO Olympiad.
- Visit the official NEO Olympiad website.
- Click the orange box ‘Register’ on it in the upper right corner of the page.
- Before submitting the NEO application form, students must enter their cellphone numbers. An OTP will be sent to the candidates’ registered cellphone numbers.
- Students must enter all the necessary information following the completion of the verification process. Since the same information will be written on the student’s scorecard and details, all the details must be entered accurately.
- Students will get a National Engineering Olympiad login ID and password upon the completion of the registration and payment processes. This information may then be used to take the NEO Olympiad test and access exam-related notifications.
Eligibility Criteria for National Engineering Olympiad
The NEO Foundation is mainly focused on engineering students. Therefore, the NEO Foundation has established a few requirements that each student must meet in order to register for the NEO test.
The following is a list of requirements for taking the NEO test.
- The NEO Olympiad test is open to all engineering students in India who are enrolled in approved colleges.
- Candidates from engineering backgrounds are permitted to take the exam, but they will not be compensated.
- For the NEO Olympiad test, only students enrolled in the first, second, third, and fourth years of engineering are eligible.
Fee Structure for the National Engineering Olympiad
The NEO Foundation requires a registration fee of INR 250 from each student. The application of students will be incomplete if the registration fee is not paid, and the authority may then decide to reject the application. The registration fee for the NEO Olympiad is non-refundable.

The NEO Olympiad test is broken down into a total of 18 categories by the NEO Foundation. This National Engineering Olympiad classification aids in covering every facet and area of the engineering student.

Exam Pattern for the National Engineering Olympiad
The level 1 NEO Olympiad test is broken up into four portions, each of which has 20 questions. The exam may be finished in 60 minutes in total. For each successful response, students receive 3 points, while they receive a negative score for each incorrect answer. The National Engineering Olympiad exam pattern is described in full below.

Results of the 6.0 National Engineering Olympiad
On the official website for the NEO Olympiad test, students may view the results. They can check the results of both rounds of the NEO Olympiad test on the organisation’s official website.
